About
I started writing this series in May 2022. The six pillars for this series came to me in a flash. It almost felt like it was a book that was going to write itself. By just after Thanksgiving, I had finished four pillars. I was hopeful in getting the book out before the end of the year. But the fifth pillar took more than a year to write. Its topic, Myths, proved to be challenging and murky- a site where language and concepts were hard to pin down. I had to set aside this pillar, letting me finish the subsequent and final pillar in a month. My interest in this work stems from a sense our world is one maintained by our coping selves. It always seem to have its order, familiar scripts, and prescibed answers to the questions we are left with. But deep down, something was never right. The harder I pushed along its prescriptions, the more I felt bereft even as their horizons had no sunsets. Its ready answers to my questions started to sound hollow with my growing sense they were taking me away from my true compass. This series is my structural response to this hollow world, a returning ourselves back to our true compass. The Rosetta Engine, decoding whatever exits are available to us from the architecture, is a culmination of years of examining how we can mine our true compass hidden underneath this world. The climate predicament provides the perfect backdrop for this recovery. Website: www.SixClimatePillars.org
